7:00 pm: Alfredo Imparato: One of the last minstrels of Naples7:00 pm: Alfredo Imparato: One of the last minstrels of Naples – After great popular demand, Alfredo Imparato will return to the Museo to give two performances in July.Mr. Imparato is one of the last wandering street minstrels, or Posteggiatori, of Naples. In 2013, he performed for enthusiastic overflow audiences at the Museo and he will be back to perform his enthralling versions of Canzoni Napoletane, or Neapolitan songs, just as he regularly does for the admiring locals in the streets and piazze of Naples. The performance will be preceded by a short talk on the history and tradition of Neapolitan songs and i Posteggiatori by local musician Kathy Sherak. A reception will follow both performances. Please note there will be another performance on July 23 at 4:30pm, be sure you book for the correct performance.
